Dallas Christian School had its beginnings in 1957 when members of the churches of Christ decided to establish a learning institution that would offer education of the highest quality. The goal was to provide a school that would train students academically, physically, and spiritually. Since the school's inception, Bible classes and chapel services have been offered each day to help in the moral development of the students. The school has a fine record of preparing students for college with over 98% of the class of 2008 attending a college or university.
Dallas Christian has been at its present location since 1975. The beautiful 60-acre campus, formerly occupied by a college, has a lovely setting amidst rolling hills. It is conveniently located in Mesquite, 12 miles east of downtown Dallas and close to Garland. The campus is situated at the intersection of the LBJ Freeway and I-30, which makes it easily accessible to those in the metroplex area.
Dallas Christian is served by a Board of Trustees consisting of 16 men and women from the Metroplex who give of their time and finances to help the school's programs.
