Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year!  Our PTO theme this year comes from the Sermon on the Mount:  Be salt and light!  We thought this was the perfect compliment to the school's theme of "Glorify God."  As parent volunteers, we hope to do just that - glorify God through our service to the teachers, staff and students of DC.   There are many ways for DC parents to get involved as volunteers whether it is signing up to help with various activities in your child's classroom or giving time to the Athletic Association as a helper in the concession stand.  Stay tuned to your DC News emails for these opportunities and many more!  Getting involved in the life of our school is what draws you into that feeling of family.  DC truly is one, big family!   We hope you will take some time to visit the different PTO pages to your left and check out the exciting things that we have going on this year.  (Several pages are under construction, so keep checking back!)    We also hope that you will JOIN PTO as a member!  The membership money is used in two ways - to pay for the printed directory (each family receives one with their membership) and to pay for items in the teacher classrooms (teacher wishlists).   Enjoy your first few weeks of school!  They are always fast and furious!    Sincerely, Your PTO Board     Questions or Comments?  Email us:  pto@dallaschristian.com
